The semester of absorption

The spring semester is divided into two periods. The first course (25 weeks) runs from the beginning of January to the end of June. The second course (18 weeks) runs from the middle of February to the end of June.

In the spring semester, you have the chance to focus on your favorite sport(s). Therefore, the spring semester is, in everyday speech, called “the semester of absorption”. Your sport major is in focus on the week plan, but that does not mean, that you will not be given the chance to test some new stuff.

For instance, if you have chosen to follow the “ball game line” at Academy of physical education in Viborg, you will still be able to test your abilities in e.g. kayaking, climbing, fitness or tumbling through the electives. You may find your new, sport during the stay at Academy of physical education in Viborg.

Living abroad is not just about making new friends and collecting new pictures. It is to feel that your intentions are changing, to change ideas, to put into practice, to be open minded, to accept challenges.

Spring semester – week plan
Spring students at Academy of physical education in Viborg must select 1 Sports subjects in each of groups A and B (see example of week plan for explanation – will be uploaded shortly). You must also choose an elective, which is a continuation of one of your Sports subjects (A or B).
You receive instruction in physical education subjects 18 hours a week – including two hours of Common Physical Training, where you’re working with students in other majors.
